These were our Events in 2022

October 18 - Putting Your Garden to Bed

September 20 - Visit Diana Emory Conservation Land, Sedgwick

It was the 9th of September, ten of us got together and bought the visit from Hancock Co ASPCA. It was a very special tour of Martha Stuart's gardens and home on M.D.I.

We hope that the club will be able to take a group next summer as a fundraiser.

The August meeting of the Brooklin Garden Club welcomed over 30 members to Native Gardens of Blue Hill where Co-founders Avy Claire and Cathy Rees guided attendees through the six-year old native garden that continues to evolve.  Of interest to all were the challenges surmounted, the grand design, minimal upkeep and conservation considerations that promote an ecologically sound practice which can be adapted by all gardeners facing ongoing climate change and other challenges.

In 2021 the Brooklin Garden Club awarded Native Gardens of Blue Hill $1500, to complete its summerhouse project by building and integrating rustic benches into the structure, and to have informational signage fabricated and installed.

Thanks to everyone who braved the heat to participate in a very informative garden program.

On this day, a small group of members of the Brooklin Garden Club drove to Northport, Maine. The Belfast Garden Club offered that day a very unique tour to Susan Conard's Gardens at Piper Stream. The 50+ acres harbors mostly native plants, many attracting insects and butterflies.
If you are not on the pictures below, you still can get a good impressions of the property and Susan's work, by clicking on this link to a video.

In July there was no meeting. Instead we were very busy with our signature event
