The Brooklin Garden Club was established in 1935, to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds; to encourage civic planting; to help fund local projects and to support with scholarships young students pursuing their studies in horticulture and in forestry.

The Brooklin Garden Club covers the towns of Brooklin, Brooksville, Penobscot, Sargentville and Sedgwick. Many events are also open to members of other area Garden Clubs.

The Brooklin Garden Club is a Not-for-Profit 501 (C) 3, registered in the State of Maine.
