The scholarship fund was established in 2005 with a donation of $5,000 from the first Art in Bloom. Additional funds were added in 2006 and 2007, bringing the total to $25,000. Since that time more than $10,000 in scholarships have been awarded to juniors or seniors who reside in Hancock County and are majoring in horticulture, forestry, conservation or a related field at the University of Maine at Orono.
